I fell in love with radio when I was 12 years old. Beginning with my cassette recorder to broadcasting on my 'Mr. Microphone' and playing music over the high school lunch room PA system. I would stay up late nights with a West Texas clear sky listening to the legends on the AM powerhouses WLS, WBAP, KLIF, XROK 80 and more. Over the culmination of 50+ years, I've worked for multiple radio, tv and cable organizations with my creative hand in programming, marketing, sales and engineering. Unfortunately, in my humble opinion, today's terrestrial and internet radio stations have lost their individuality becoming a homogenized collection of "brands" from mega-corporations. Today's generation is unaware of what they've been missing. My goal is to not only have the greatest hits to hear but to bring back that classic feel of radio long gone. As a traditional radio DJ, I've played the bulk of what you hear on GUS.FM (the name inspired by my grandson, Gus). They're my favorites, I hope they are yours too! Thank you for "tuning in!"
